The Kingdom of Alberon is comprised mostly of farmlands and hills. Out of the six kingdoms of Metagore, Alberon is the only one with its own native language, Oacari, and its own religion. There is no title given for their religion, but they worship two gods: Addazul (their god over the creatures of the fields) and Trillis (their goddess over the plants of the fields). The inhabitants of Alberon are very tribal, and in some ways primal.

13,684 P.M. - The Kingdom of Alberon was established.
5,182 P.M. - The first recorded Solar Eclipse took place, and is referred to as the Dark Sun. The Alberian tribes thought the gods were angry with them. So, they started to kill each other, believing that if they killed the one who had wronged the gods, the eclipse would be over. The eclipse lasted for an hour.
1,850 P.M. - Emperor Ty’il of Alberon signed a Trade Deal with King Lugur of Tribora. Alberon would provide crops and food, while Tribora would provide naval supplies.
963 P.M. - Some Learish (secretly warriors) ordered by their king, Beron, crossed the Diamond River and migrated into Alberon.
954 P.M. - The Learish who had migrated into Alberon hunted down Addazul (one of the two Alberian gods) and slaughtered it; delivering the carcass to Emperor Khalil of Alberon. Addazul was a large strix, about five times the normal size of a regular strix. The Alberians believed Addazul watched over and protected all of the creatures in Alberon. After killing Addazul, the Learish started to rape women and children and burnt down their settlements afterward. The nine-year period from when the Learish migrated into Alberon until the death of Addazul is known as the Learish Invasion.
953 P.M. - Emperor Khalil ordered for a new banner to be designed with a red strix on a green flag. It was referred to as the Banner of Addazul, but later became known simply as the Banner of the Strix (the original banner was a golden stock of wheat on a green background).
953 P.M. - After King Beron of Medsa’lear sent warriors into Alberon to murder the Alberian god, Addazul, and burn their settlement, Emperor Khalil led a fight against the Learish. The Alberians managed to push the Learish back across the Diamond River, where the majority of the war was fought in the swamps of Medsa’lear. The Alberians' tactics involved themselves being submerged beneath the water, using hollow limbs (such as bamboo) as snorkels. The war became known as the War of Snakes and got its name from the lines of Alberian warriors swimming in the water appearing to be large snakes or death worms. The Alberians proved themselves to be very versatile. The Learish started to pour oils into the water and lit them on fire (which wasn't done for long due to the risk of the Learish and their lands, and the ineffectiveness it was on the Alberians). The Alberians started to climb trees and leap from limb to limb, being able to travel the swamps with ease, avoiding the fires below. The war ended at the Castle of Medsa’lear, when Emperor Khalil decapitated King Beron in front of a large audience of spectators.
931 P.M. - Emperor Khalil ordered for a giant statue of a strix to be built in the center of the most southern point of the Diamond River, in remembrance of Addazul.
929 P.M. - A phoenix was smuggled into Alberon and gifted to Emperor Khalil by a Learish djinn. The djinn was soon apprehended, then hung upside down from a tree and gutted.
928 P.M. - Emperor Khalil sent warriors to Medsa'lear to kill all the liches and djinns in the kingdom, after receiving word that the Learish liches and djinns had planned to curse the kingdom of Alberon.
893 P.M. - The statue of Addazul in the Diamond River was finished, and many Alberians regularly travel to the river with notes of all matters and toss them in to let them float downstream to their former god. This practice was referred to as The Cleansing.
604 P.M. - Learish near the Diamond River start to migrate over to Alberon, bringing with them their customs and faiths—this time peacefully.
579 P.M. - The Alberians accepted the Gods of the Eight Divides from the Learish as their main religion.
571 P.M. - For the first time in the history of Alberon, the settlements far away from the capital were able to provide enough food for themselves, thanks to the Learish that had migrated to Alberon and showed them new crops they could grow in the streams and rivers, as well as fishing techniques. This year was known as the Year of the Great Harvest.
566 P.M. - The Trade Deal with Tribora ended.
0 A.M - Empress Uri met with the other rulers of Metagore and signed the MCA, which unified the six kingdoms as one, established a centralized monarch, and declared for a new city to be built immediately to regulate trade amongst the realms. The rulers elected Brighton to be the new lord over the unified kingdom, in honor of his dedication and planning of the MCA. It was also agreed upon that the new city would be built in the mountains of Rigdale, next to the castle, and it would be named BrightHelm after their new lord. As a way to commemorate the signing of the MCA, a three-day festival is hosted every year in BrightHelm, known as the New Life Festival. The signing of the MCA marked the new start of the year for Metagore, as well as established a time frame for all future records: P.M. (Prior to the MCA) and A.M. (After the MCA).
552 A.M. - During the week of the New Life Festival, Grand Duke Turkan gathered in the throne room of BrightHelm with Lord Brighton and the other four grand dukes, along with a couple of loved ones, to enjoy a feast. At the start of the feast, as Lord Brighton was about to give a toast, some of the attendees started to cough and spit up blood, eventually succumbing to death’s vengeance. Lord Brighton had all of the drinks tested, and all except one came back as having been tainted with poison—Turkan’s. The only survivors in the room were Brighton, Galach, and Turkan, as well as Valek, who had become ill from the poison but managed to recover from the toxins within a few days. The massacre became officially known as the Liquid Masquerade. Lord Brighton quickly had Turkan executed in the Pit for his crimes. Though many wary citizens believed that Valek wasn’t able to miraculously defeat the poison, but that in fact, he was the one who poisoned everyone, and he just made himself appear sick so that he could place the blame on an innocent bystander; thus, it was nicknamed Valek’s Second Rebellion.
735 A.M. - After the presumed poisoning of Lord Brighton, Cornelius was elected to rule over Metagore. The grand dukes became angered by the election process, leading some to separate from the kingdom and lead a war against the new lord. The war became a massive civil war known as the War of the Six Kingdoms.
HOLIDAY(S) IN ALBERON
New Life Festival (Batell Moon, Day 1-3) - a festival that commemorates the signing of the Metagore Compression Act and the start of new year. A three-day long festival is hosted in the courtyards of the castle in BrightHelm. On the first day, the lord and his grand dukes open with a set of speeches, then afterward a feast is partaken in. The feast lasts for the entirety of the festival, alongside entertainers (firebreathers, jugglers, musicians, ect.). Most businesses are closed during the festival.
Masida (Vloth Moon, Day 28) - a holiday associated with the passing of the winter and warm weather to come. Traditions include public intoxication, releasing from oaths, and in some cases violence and rioting.
Im de'Suht (Powu Moon, Day 14) - translated it means "Day of Oblation". Im de'Suht is an Alberian holiday associated with Trillis, the goddess of the land. Celebrations last from dawn to dusk. Traditions includes a public sacrifice to Trillis, atonement, and nudity.
Wa'Straht de'Rrooz (Oticius Moon, Day 4-8) - translated it means "The Walk of Roses". Wa'Straht de'Rrooz is an Alberian cultural celebration that is associated with manhood. Celebrations last five days. Traditions include displaying bouquets of roses outside of each house, playing of drums and horns, nudity (males only), and athletic events. On the fourth night, the fathers take their sons that are of age out into the wilderness and leave them there (each boy separate from the others) naked and with just a small knife. The sons have to survive on their own for the night. The fifth day ends with all the boys who were taken to the wilderness the day before partaking in a ceremony where one of their palms is slit and the blood is dripped into a bowl with the others’ blood, to finalize their manhood. Once the blood has been taken from all of the new 'men', it is poured on top of a wooden totem of a strix, painting it red.

It could also indicate that the warrior had proven himself in battle. Black was also used to symbolize victory and might be applied before returning home to the camp.

Green: sometimes used to symbolize endurance. Green is associated with harmony and is a great healing power and believed to improve vision.
